Cookies are used on our websites to make visits to the websites attractive and innovative as well as to enable the use of certain functions. Cookies are small text files that are stored on the customer’s computer. Our websites use so-called “session cookies”, which are removed from a hard disk again once the browser session is concluded. Partner companies of the websites’ operator are not permitted to collect, process or use personal data via our websites using cookies.
Our websites use Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA („Google“). Google Analytics uses “cookies”. These are text files that are saved on the computer to analyse your interaction with the websites. The information generated by the cookie about your use of our websites (including your IP address) is normally transferred to a Google server in the USA where it is stored. However, in the event that IP anonymisation is activated on our websites, your IP address will be masked by Google beforehand within EU member states or in other signatory states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and masked there. On behalf of the operator of our websites, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the websites, create reports on website activities and carry out other services associated with website and internet use for the website operator. The IP address forwarded from your browser as part of the Google Analytics service will not be combined with other data by Google.
You can prevent the installation or saving of cookies via your browser software settings. We would, however, point out that if you do this, you may not be able to use all functions of our websites to their full extent. Furthermore, you can prevent Google from collecting and processing the data created by the cookie which relates to your use of the websites (including your IP address) by downloading and installing a browser plug-in that can be found at the following link. Further information regarding Google Analytics and data protection can be found here.
Our websites use social plug-ins (“plug-ins”) of the social network Facebook, operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA („Facebook“). The plug-ins are indicated with a Facebook logo or the label “Facebook social plug-in” or “Soziales Plug-In von Facebook”. When you access a website via this plug‐in, a direct link is created from your browser to the Facebook servers. The content of the plug‐in is transferred from Facebook directly to your browser and integrated into the website. Facebook then receives information that you have accessed the corresponding pages, even if you do not have a Facebook profile or have not directly logged in to Facebook. This information (including your IP address) is transferred from your browser directly to a Facebook server in the USA where it is stored. If you are logged in to Facebook, Facebook will allocate this information to your personal Facebook user account. If you interact with the plug‐in, (e.g. by clicking the „Like“ button or leaving a comment), that information will also be forwarded to a Facebook server, where it will be stored and allocated to your Facebook account. For information on the purpose and scope of data collection and further processing and use of data by Facebook as well as your rights and setting options to protect your privacy in this regard, please refer to Facebook’s data protection information: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/. If you do not want Facebook to collect data about you via our websites, you must log out from Facebook before visiting our websites.
Google +1 Button
Our websites use the +1 button from the social network Google+, which is operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA („Google“). The button is clearly indicated with the label / logo “+1” on a white or coloured background. When you access a page on our websites that has such a button, your browser creates a link to the Google servers. The button content is transferred to the browser directly by Google and integrated by the button into the web page. The integration of the button sends information to Google that your browser has accessed the corresponding page of the website even if you do not have a Google+ profile or have not directly logged in to Google+. If you are logged in to Google+ when you visit our websites, Google can allocate your visit to our websites directly to your Google+ profile. If the user clicks on the button, corresponding information is sent from the browser directly to a Google server, where it is stored. For information on the purpose and scope of data collection and further processing and use of data by Google as well as your rights and setting options to protect your privacy in this regard, please refer to Google’s corresponding data protection information: https://developers.google.com/+/web/buttons‐policy. If you do not want Google to allocate the data collected via our websites to your Google+ profile, you must log out from Google before visiting our websites.
AddThis bookmarking service
Our websites use social plug-ins (“plug-ins”) of the bookmarking service AddThis, operated by AddThis LLC, 1595 Spring Hill Rd Suite 300 Vienna, VA 22182, USA (“AddThis”), which allows you to create bookmarks and facilitate common use of website content on the social web. The plug‐ins are normally indicated with an AddThis logo, e.g. in the form of a white plus symbol on an orange background. When you access a page on our websites that contains such a social plug-in, your browser creates a direct link to the AddThis servers. The content of the plug-in is transferred from AddThis directly to your browser and integrated into the page. This integration sends information to AddThis that your browser has accessed the corresponding page of our website and stores a cookie on your terminal device to identify your browser. This information (including your IP address) is transferred from your browser directly to an AddThis server in the USA where it is stored. For further information on the scope, nature and purpose of data processing via AddThis, please read the AddThis data privacy information at http://www.addthis.com/privacy. The data concerned is not processed by us. You can prevent data collection and storage via AddThis at any time with future effect by setting an opt-out cookie. To do so, visit http://www.addthis.com/privacy/opt‐out.
